i'll never forget the moon during SOTM that night!

My second and last show. I recall it even at the time being kinda flat, other than some moments in the first set.

Unfortunately, Jerry has some real troubles in the second set. I forget if it is Eyes or SOTM, but at one point, his solos fall in and out of key and it is pretty sad to hear.

that said, this is a great recording. my other one was not so hot. i'll hang onto this for sentimental reasons.

C Allen, I appreciate the honesty, YOU HAVE checked out some of the live '73, etc., right? I wanna makes sure you're gettin' a good hit of the Dead.... Europe '72 (and Live/Dead) and, of course May '77 are fantastic. you MUST check that stuff out if you haven't. There's a whole Dead universe to explore (I'm sure you're probably already aware, but, just in case). Thanks, you've helped me in my decision.

oh absolutely! around 1995, i started trading tapes, and in due time I dove headfirst into all things GD; i'm just glad i can say i heard the GD twice in person.

73, 77, 69, 90, 94 are my favorite years. perhaps 73 most of all.

This was actually a pretty decent show, and one of the stronger ones I saw that summer (7-20 being the best...at least post drums).

the sound was terrible though. as were all the stadium shows post Healy.
