Many thanks ... I didn't yet have this one! Any possiblity of someone seeding 04-07-78?
sanguine1 2009-03-20 09:13:37
I happen to have the 7th and 8th ready to seed after this one.
garcialives 2009-03-20 10:28:08
Thanks. I really enjoyed the shows that I saw on this tour. There are too many 78 haters out there.
backagain69 2009-03-20 12:59:02
Any call outs on the versions of songs in this show? I love hearing peoples opinions on version nuances and stuff. Thanks in advance, I"m just backed up on my HD's and need to burn some this weekend.
heehaw 2009-03-20 15:04:49
Thanks Sanguine1, you really upload the "good stuff". As for the "78 Haters" they are missing out one of the best years so they are fools! Of my 100+ shows I saw between '74 & '95 I always come back to the '77-'79 era as standing out as being exceptional. Jerry and Bob were collectively "in the zone". No band will ever come close to how good these guys were in that time period.
detroitlightn 2009-03-20 16:04:22
thanks for this! Anyone out there with 5/5/78?
hobbulus 2009-03-20 16:11:58
Thank you very much!

heehaw, I'm with you, though I wasn't with you, I have discovered 78 slowly. I posted a drunken rant on 9/10/93 about post coma heads. of which I am, and how I came back to this era. I love 78, yes everyone knows the setlists werent as diverse but the versions were. So I'll download this anyway. I"m just starting to get space tight. Thanks again.
Eric_A_DeadHead 2009-03-21 09:25:21
postcoma, Latter-Day Dead heads are awesome, it was all the casual observers and people trying to be cool by being into the Dead (without REALLY being into the Dead, like people who are horrified at the thought of people taking LSD, uh... OK) who made the shows too big and not concentrated enough to get more good ol' cosmic energy going. They diluted the product of Dead Head-ness. Hopefully, we're back to hardcore Heads again, and i don't care if they EVER saw a note of live GD music, if they can dig it now, and can tell what was going down (and something WAS going down and up and all-around!!!) aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... dozing, sorry, gotta sleep, but keep the faith!

LONG LIVE THE DEAD Grateful, that is. : )
sanguine1 2009-03-21 10:03:44
The only versions of 5-5-78 that I know about are audience recordings available on Live Music Archive.

FWIW, I will see many more requests if they are posted here: http://forums.etree.org/viewforum.php?f=17 I'll be happy to fill as many as I can.
