Hello Folks, sorry for the late post on this. A great show from RRE this night at the Chicago HoB. Allie Kral as a guest is always a welcome treat!
I took feeds from the other 2 tapers on this and did a quick mixdown of the 6 channel, here is the result of our combined efforts for the night. I feel the second set sounds a little better than the first. Thanks to all involved! Enjoy folks
Special thanks to Nick Autry for keeping the wooks off my rig!! you rock buddy! had a great time hanging out. |

taperj, seeing that you're a constant around the Chicago music scene I was hoping you'd be running a rig last night. I'm pulling this now and will post it on the LMA, if you don't have plans to do so already. Thanks for the pull - it was a great show and my first RRE.

Same here. Did a bit of blind (recorded a disc in random order and checked the sources after) comparison between the 6 ch and the 2 ch c34.
On my playback system (see below) I like the c34 2 ch more. Lighter on the bottom end and has more "air" and space in the top end. Just has a lighter overall sound. I am, however, very impressed with the mixing job. No issues with artifacts at all that I have heard on multiple source recordings on different stands. I think part of the issue with the top end clarity is simply because of the phase difference using 2 sets of A|B mics a few feet apart as opposed to any issues with the mix. I'll have my source up in a few minuets.
