I find both the show and the recording to be excellent.
And not to cast stones here but if you don't "get" what Warren Haynes is doing in this band just listen closely to the 1st set.
Phil Lesh has stated that this version of the band wishes to pull music "out of the air" so I think if you are looking for the five or six minute bar band/jukebox version of the old Grateful Dead you will be in for a disappointment. If you will listen with your ears and mind open you will hear on this tour I'm sure nights when the paths the band chooses to connect the dots works and nights when it does. Such is the nature of improvisation.
on this particular night they connected the dots extremely well imho. |

i dont lower myself to say someone sucks back when they leave negative comments about something, but if you dont like the show why take the time to look at it then comment on it? find something you like, download it or find something else to do. |

IMO, there's really no harm in voicing an opinion, good or bad, about the perceived quality of the show or the recording - believe it if you need it, or leave it if you dare. I'm personally digging both, but there are moments that don't work as well as others. Reminds me of the band whose performances I once frequented, many years ago. So be it.
Thanks for the effort by all! Between work and two small kids I'm unable to catch a show, but you good people have allowed me to hear what the band is doing these days, for which I am sincerely Grateful. |

| Thanks for the show...sounds great!!! I thought the levels were fine, a couple of snap, crackle, and pops...but nothing I can really notice on my crappy speakers. Sure Bobby missed some of his cues, but it's the first night of tour, and honestly JB mangled his lines a lot worse during Panic mini tour...Besides Warren is rockin, and like the rest of the posters, say if you don't like it...Tough S**T !!! |
