Notes: It was a VERY rainy show and in order avoid the many bad points
of running equipment in the rain and the fact that there were 2 large
"repeater" speakers on the back of the sound board the mics were moved
at last minute before the start of 1st set. The mics were moved to
either side of the back of the sound board platform underneath the tent
that Paul and Chris were using for the sound boards. The mics were then
placed approx 1.5' away from each speaker under the protection of the
tent. Good part: the sound of the tape is close to sound board quality.
Bad part: it took longer than expected to move the mics and equipment
which had all ready been setup, therefore the first attempt to start
Llama was missed on the DAT but fortunately due to rain Trey stopped
the song then restarted minutes later. The DAT started during this
short break. Overall BY FAR the best recording made that day and one
of the best I've ever made with the exception of the late start. There
was a person taping from about 13th row center running Nak 300s with
plastic bags over them that has the first attempt at Llama but he is one
of the only ones who did get it as most of the tapers by the sound board
patched out of me once I was setup due to the much higher sound quality.

|hot great sounding show, enjoy!
|Thanks for pumping these out Iguana!! Loving 93!!! Will you continue running the project during Summer Tour or are you hitting the road?
|Hopefully charlotte 93 is right around the corner. Keep up the great work iguana!!!! My 1st show!
|First of all, nice work with all this 93, Iguana. But I was hoping this date was gonna be SBD cause I know there is a SBD of it circulating. Anyone got the alternate source and can seed it?
|I remember this show. It was indeed raining like all get-out. Trey came out and said something like, "they told us we should cancel the show due to danger of electrocution. I told them to put the plug up my ass and count off llama."
Roar of approval from the crowd.
They launch into llama with a fierce intensity - defying the elements and all that. Before the first verse they stop and restart - I think because Trey got all excited and accidentally popped the cord out of his guitar??
So, a funny moment. Everyone's all excited and then dang it the tune comes crashing to a halt. But they got the intensity back as I remember. looking forward to hearing this. Thanks.
|tamscott1888, i'm only going to hit one show this summer so i'll still crank the 93 out. though may take some breaks with the assumed summer tour taper's flood :)
davis1, yes charlotte is a couple days away
yokinazoo, no sbd is listed in the db for this show but hopefully one may surface someday
fondo213, glad i could help
|I also have fond memories of this show, and of Great Woods a couple of nights later. 93 was an amazing year on all counts. Thanks from me, too, Iguana!
|this source is so good that the SBD in question is probably just this source mislabeled
|There is no SBD of this show in circulation. This source has been mislabeled for years because of the lack of crowd noise.

that is how it's labeled....the perception of the source is the problem and if you read Tom's story it makes a whole lot of sense why
