Rain fell all weekend but never as hard as it did for Susan's set. It is prominent on the recording. At one point, I had to run from my crouched hideout under the elevated soundboard to catch the microphone stand before it toppled over in a gust of wind. I stood there for 10 minutes until a fellow taper threw me a green bungee cord, which was used to strap the stand to a fence. The rain eventually eased up. And Susan kept burning.

|Thanks a lot, Alex
|Thanks very much
No Wanee for me this year. Maybe next year.
|Thanks for taking a drenching for the team :-)
Thanks for sharing,
|Wow. Thanks for taking a storm for the team. Nice lookin' little set - Has Susan been doing Presence Of The Lord very long??
|Thanks Alex. I've been looking forward to hearing this again since enjoying Susan and her band from under my umbrella. It sounds great. That's the way the rain sounded from where I sat and the music comes thru fine. I continue to appreciate your great taping at Wanee and glad that you were able to keep your gear dry - sorry you got wet.
|Alex, Thanks for the sacrifice of getting wet etc to get this taped. I was in a friends tent by the swings where we usually here the ampitheatre more but we actually heard Susan loud and clear !
|the hottest soaking wet set of the weekend, !!
Thankyou for braving the elements to catch this one!!
we hid like soaked rats under the beer garden tent
|From the tail end I caught it was pretty awesome... However I have a hard time calling it the "Hottest soaking wet set of the weekend", Jorma Kaukonen & Barry Mitterhoff were playing on the other stage at the same time.
That was the dilemma of the weekend.
|Thanks so much for sharing all of your hard and dedicated work from that wet weekend. It was my buddy and I's first Wanee, so we've been thrilled to be able to have captures of nearly the whole weekend as the ultimate souvenir.
That being said, anyone seen the Wailers set circulating?
|Thanks so much for posting Alex! I showed up just before the rain and stood ther getting soaked to the bane for an hour and loved every minute of it! Susan absolutley was rocking love the new album, and all the VW recordings from Wanee. Keep up the great work! PEACE
