Glad you were close to home. I wish I could've been there, thanks for the configuration with the GREAT sound! Would've been there since on the calender but my band's first gig was the same night.

Track 5 is called "Out On The Road". It's an RL Burnside song from his Mr. Wizard album.
Track 13 is called "When I Lay My Burden Down". It's a traditional spiritual song but the version they are doing is here is based on Mississippi Fred McDowell's version that can be heard on his Live at the Mayfair Hotel album. |

Great time, way too hot. Spent a lot of time down in the river with many others and the sound was still good. My friend and I set up way far away from the stage on a small ridge the second night because it was an acoustic sweet spot. We wanted to hear the live music but didn't have to see them close.
No mention of the patrol cars shining lights into tents every hour throughout the night or the forced breathalyzers on people leaving the picnic... a shame, but the people there and the vendors, very nice people. |
