Nothing but the Water (1 & 2)
Notes:
The power went out across the festival site and part of the surrounding area approximately 2 hours prior to the beginning of the set (updates 1 through 4 are after the initial announcement which I didn't record). The band didn't take the stage until around 10PM.
** Contains Drum solo and NBTW2 intro
It's sort of an odd misnomer, but the festival sits just across the county line in Patrick County. There isn't much sense in labeling the txt file that way since nobody else does and it would fall out of any traditional searches for floydfest recordings (based on Floyd, VA)... |

Yep, she totally owned this night. Great Covers of Robert Johnson & Jefferson Airplane to boot. They've gotten stronger each year I've seen them.
Thanks for this recording.
(Here's hoping the Grupo Fantasma & Panjea turned out well too. And do you know if anyone taped The Lee Boys, Charles Walker & The Dynamites or Hot 8 Brass Band?)

glad to see this up, i just got my copy of this done and put it up on DIME. ill check this out for comparison. not sure if ill be seeding my shows here or dime, last time i tired to seed here there was an issue with my ISP. everything will be on archive that i can put on there. had a great time meeting everyone and checking out some new bands this weekend. my first floydfest was the DTB day last year and ill never miss at least a couple days of that festival if i can avoid it.
heres what i got: emmit nershi, grace potter, hot 8(garden stage, last 45 minutes), forro in the dark(no encore), steve johnson band(partial, 30 minutes or so), ollabelle, hot 8(main stage set), donna the buffalo(missing about a half hour mid-set, was unprepared and had to run my gear to the beer tent), toubab, blues traveler, charles walker(last hour of show), lee boys(no encore), peter rowan, RRE
unfortunately some of those are incomplete for various reasons. also, my blues traveler has a small cut near the start of the show. these things happen at festivals. i will upload everything i can(eventually) but ill hold out on the shows with massive cuts until other sources show up. |

General note: I'll put this up on the archive this evening if I'm not seeding something else.
h2d24DMB: Between 3 or 4 of us, I know of complete recordings of Grupo Fantasma (remember; the power went out during their show, so it's not flawless, but it is complete), Hot 8 Brass at the main stage, and I think graham's copy of the afternoon Lee Boys. I don't know of anyone who taped the midnight set of the Lee Boys though. If I can find evidence that Grupo and Hot8 are trade friendly, I'll put them up here.
jaime/jason: I'm seeding this, Emmett Nershi, Felice Brothers, and a couple of other things this week unless someone gets to them first. Trying to get a couple of the big things out the door. The rest will probably wait till after everyone mails their stuff and I can mooch tracking. I'm not tracking the Toubab show until I see someone else's :-) We can't see our Rowan tapes here. His management said no. :-( As for Donna the Buffalo, I can Frankenstein the 3 sources together to get a complete set if need be. |

God bless you, tapers!
Anything of any quality is all groovy to me. It still blows my mind that one can listen again to concerts he/she enjoyed, not to mention this soon after the actual event.
The 1-3 am Lee Boys was way way over the top, but I didn't see any mics up, so I'm betting no sources.
Thanks again, y'all! |

Lookin' forward to that Lee Boys. They covered Superstition, Don't Stop Till You Get Enough and at least a couple of P-Funk tunes in with all the madness.
Oh by the way, I found the following live "album" on the Panjea website. It was recorded at 3 festivals this summer and they're offering in as a free mp3 download. I've listened through a couple of times already -- many of the same songs as at FloydFest:
