New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival
Fairgrounds, New Orleans, LA
The original DAT had an odd quality to the high frequencies, with
some occasional noise (wind, perhaps). This was NOT the result
of the DAT > CDR transfer, which was purely digital.
In spite ofthe imperfections, this is a rare show of which not many sources
are available, so I figured I'd spread it.

why new xfer, are there digital errors? i'm pretty sure my master is unplayable, though i may have a backup somewhere in the attic.
the high frequency wierdness is indeed phase shifting from the wind that day. the levels also get slammed for the beginning of cavern because i couldn't get them dialed back in time after the hello my baby.
that said, the official soundboard release of this one is really nice (and the proceeds went to a good cause). highly recommended. |
