This mix of tracks from the 12/6/86 show was created by Richard Wright, aka "Nancy," from the Ranch's master tape. This recording was made using mics that were either on stage or near the stage -- there was no "soundboard" at this gig. My cassette is from Nancy. (Fwiw Nancy wrote the music/lyrics of Halley's Comet and there's an interview of him in The Phish Companion and it may be available online as well.)
This is an upgrade of the same tracks that are on the online Spreadsheet.
Btw The Ranch (aka the Mood Ranch) was the house that Eric Larson -- who attended UVM and was a good friend of Trey's -- occupied with others.

| i think i may have more of this show on cass. somewhere. if memory serves, there is a whipping post performed during this show. the cass. i have is at least 12 years old and has quite a few generations to it, making it a hissy tape, and not really worth transferring. if someone wants to prove me right or wrong, please do so. i love learning more about the early days of phish, when they were a college bar band. |

| The entire 3-set show does circulate and you can easily find the setlist online. (I had it a long time ago, but liquidated it along with hundreds of other cassettes.) I didn't try to circulate it here. I only wanted to circulate the tape I got from Nancy, given its low gen. |
