Notes: This was a warm day at a small festival. Cornmeal took the stage after Shaggy Wonda and Sweet Japonic. I taped those bands as well, and was happy that I did. They both have a good sound. The Wuhnurth Festival bills itself as an environmentally friendly festival. Apparently they use LED stage lighting and local vendors. I am told that the recycling became trash by the end of the weekend. I am also saddened by the fact that there was a nitrous vendor on the property. Nitrous is *not* environmentally friendly no matter which way you cut it. My friends who attended also wished there was a seperate family camping section just to get away from the nitrous vending.

All that having been said, the sound was good and the music was hot! I want to give a shout out to Rex (who photographs and writes anbout these things) and Brin (sp?) who was nice enough to watch all my junk.

This recording could use a touch of compression and EQ, but I'm giving it to you raw. You get a great Hasten Jason, a very sweet Troubled Land, and some kind covers, and you get to hear Allie sing! So enjoy!

Go see Cornmeal!

There was a discussion recently about Cornmeal's taping policy. I could have probably tapped the board for this one before they took the stage, but honestly I'd rather leave that to the band. I respect that decision. I do wish they would put together some live albums and some live downloads. Until that point, I'm glad that people do sneak board feeds every once in a while. If they were archiving all of this it would be a different story, but AFAIK they don't record their own gigs.

I can tell you one thing they don't do. Requests. They spend a lot of time working on the setlists and not repeating things and so forth. You can request songs, but rest assured that you will kind of annoy them in doing so and any time they play the song you requested it will be a pure coincidence.

As long as you have a music scene full of stupid, selfish hippies...you're gonna have tons of trash everywhere, and nitrous tanks.

Better learn to deal with it!
