Thanks to all again!

Peace

About 20 years ago, I made a tape of all my favorite versions of space that culminated with this 'space>FOTM.' It blew my stoned-out teenage mind every time I listened to it.
mike999 2009-09-17 14:07:20
2 million thanks again!! All the best around!
Cheers!
25th 26st maybe later?
charlie miller 2009-09-17 14:59:44
25th is up next. I am not doing the 26th since jim patched out of steve rolfe and I already transferred steve rolfe's master tapes.

Perhaps a Seamons Matrix or two will emerge from some of these fine Wise-Miller, late October 1980 auds?!? Dare to dream....Thank you!
kntckymule 2009-09-17 20:29:57
these wise-iller auds are just fine on their own.

Charlie certainly knows what he is doing.

Matrixes should be really only for those shows that have an inferior source for either the aud or sbd and can be synched up to even out the deficient source.

Ain't no need to ever matrix one of Charlie's sources.

"these wise-iller auds are just fine on their own."

Agreed.

"Charlie certainly knows what he is doing."

Agreed.

"Matrixes should be really only for those shows that have an inferior source for either the aud or sbd and can be synched up to even out the deficient source."

Strongly disagree.

"Ain't no need to ever matrix one of Charlie's sources."

Need? No. A wonderful sonic adventure for alchemist and listener? Definitely.

Why do people get so awkwardly defensive regarding anything that has the name Miller attached to it? More specifically, the political correctness around Matrix's gets old. For the record what Charlie Miller does and continues to do is worthy of lots of praise. Truly. That being said, I am OCD and get the best FOB's, MIller SBDs and The Matrix versions. I love some of the Matrix versions regardless if the SBD is limited or not. Justr my 2 cents. Thanks

Anybody compare this to the Nak 700 source?

http://db.etree.org/shninfo_detail.php?shnid=94270

Opinions?

Thanks
charlie miller 2009-09-18 14:51:44
I think I like this source a little better than the nak source.
REAGANYEARZ 2009-09-18 18:59:42
In my humble opinion The Wise source is superior: Great clarity and ambiance. For example, The Monkey & The Engineer is as clear as day. This source is INCREDIBLE. WOW! Thanks.
spegeg2 2009-09-19 16:34:16
Thanks again Charlie and all involved! I tried to get in to this show but couldn't find a ticket. Wound up going to see Frank Zappa at The Ritz for the third night in a row. He was no slouch on Halloween either. Can't wait to here this Wise source! http://darkstarjamblog.blogspot.com
crazyuky 2009-09-27 21:10:23
Many Thanks!!!!!
cryptical17 2011-01-31 23:20:31
I used to have the FM recording (or soundboard) on cassette. That sounded great, well until the tapeflip.

Can anyone look into remastering the FM/Sbd of this show?
azwoogie 2011-11-16 20:36:34
The matrix argument cracks me up. Basically you are asking someone to take a crystal clear soundboard of every nuance the band played...and saying take this and mix in the ambient garbage, less Jerry and more drunk screaming! Hmm..thanks, I'll take Jerry as clear as I can get it!
