NOTE:
Unfortunately, the FOB tapers were shut down during Harry Hood.
I have spliced in the following source to complete the show:
DPA 4011's > V2 > Apogee AD500 > DA-P1 (recorded by Ron Dalton)
Starting at 11:58 in Harry Hood, and the rest of the show after that, is from the DPA 4011 source.
Also, in Piper, there was one point where the levels probably got bumped up mistakenly,
and the right channel was heavily clipped. I used the DPA 4011 source to replace this short segment,
for a length of approximately 20 seconds starting at 04:18.
One other thing to note about the DPA 4011 source is that the overall recording level is louder.
For the patch in Piper, I adjusted the levels on the DPA source to match the Schoeps, so the patch would be smoother.
For the splice in Harry Hood, and everything after the splice, I left the DPA source levels as orginally recorded. |

I remember this night well. We were all up front recording and not bothering anyone. I would add that BK Bob was also with us. Anyways, we were packing a bowl when out of nowhere Bart shows up. I remember Bart screaming 'where are the mics?, where are the mics?". He would have had no idea knowing we were taping if greg had not ratted us out. It appeared that Bart had no idea what active cables were or what hat mics were all about. Bart was digging around our bags and eventually found the active cables running up into Memphis Mikes hat. At that point I realized the goose was cooked and grabbed my fanny pack and D100 and slipped away. I am almost certain that the 2nd set up til the point of the cut in Hood is from my master. As I remember the rest of the tapes got confiscated back stage when everyone else was thrown out. It's too bad because the FOB's sound so sick.
Fuck Antelope Greg!

Oh...Bart knew what hat mics were all about. My and the Player got taken out 3 songs into Vancouver on this tour. HEH...and we went right back at it the next night. Think we went 16 for 20 FOB that fall of 99. |
