Here's a very listenable condensate of the 5-man Boris Garcia at their best. At the beginning of '09, one of the members dropped out, starting a 6-month process of reworking old arrangements and writing and rehearsing the new material.
I am very excited to report they have found their 4-man voice. They let me record any way I like, which is super fun, and yields some pretty phenomenal recordings. I am working on the 9-19-09 Carlisle show which I believe heralds the start of a reaLLy nice run.
In the meantime, try this one - it makes a single 78 minute CD that showcases their split personality with 6 songs from the 1st set, (a little Grassy) , and 8 from the second, (a little Jammy! )
Their new second set voice is decidedly more psychedelic. I'm looking forward to sharing those here in the very near future.
