Thanks A Billion for this Robert Hunter show at Terrapin Station in 2002
It would be GRATE to see all the sets posted from all the bands that played on August 3 & 4 @ Alpine Valley here on this site |

Any chance of Hunter at Greek in Berkeley, opening for Phil & Friends on 6/1/02? He did a 'Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands' I would love to hear again.
Thanks for the show! |

I was at these shows (wow were they marvelous) but Hunter's second night set was weird- not the music- nature.
So it was lightly raining that weekend, and by the time Hunter came onstage to play it had stopped, but there was a huge cloud that hovered just over the venue- all around he horizon it was blue clear sky- but right above us was a dark menacing massive cloud. During his set, I kept thinking to myself, "well, if god suddenly wanted to do Sodom & Gomorrha, revisited... well, this would be the time.
I haven't listened to the set again since his playing it, so I forget the details, but Hunter says something about this is a special song or something like that and just as he says it, it starts to rain a little. And when he gets to "i love you more than words can tell" it just downpours and as he's finishing the song the rain stops and a huge rainbow comes out.
Magic. |
