-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the original SHN/FLAC filesets. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.

Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.

Huge thanks goes out to the tapers, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those that have helped get the tunes to our ears.

And thanks to the other 5 guys I've dragged into this and who seem committed to the cause: Louie, Mike Tom, Todd & Jeff....we're all listening to these shows and hopefully circulating the best versions.

All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmw

These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwaccess

Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled...maybe forever?)

I've started a thread over here for us to be able to discuss this project:
http://week4paug.net/index.php/topic=1573.0

enjoy the grooves,
Louie, Mike, Tom, Todd, Jeff & dug

***FOR ALL YOUR SETLIST NEEDS***
MMW Performance History @ http://mmwhistory.com - this is a fantastic resource that allows you to look at info on gigs by MMW and related side projects and guest appearances; big thanks to Tom for creating this page.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

We are actively updating all setlists as we seed, and also others outside the particular order of the project.

db.etree is also being updated in tandem with the updates to Tom's pages -- both the source and show pages.

For instance, all 2008-2009 setlists are up to date with actual titles, etc. And some of the '99 shows have needed some considerable corrections/updates.

Nice to have Mr. Ribot back into the Halloween mix in 2003. This show is awesome!

We've got early renditions of both Whiney Bitches and Anonymous Skulls before they're developed into the actual structure they'll take on either later in 2003 or in 2004, respectively. Another rare appearance of "Bounce Bitch" (never got a real name for this tune), and what I've labeled "Chanky Ribot" is real sweet! (The song's riff reminds me a bit of the Sco tune Chank.)

Yep, some spooked out grooves once again ... this year's show battles for my favourite amoungst the Halloween gigs (2001 + 2006 being other high contenders - Dave Tronzo on guitar gives Ribot's input a run for it's money!).
nyctaperrd420 2009-10-31 13:52:01
yea, Tronzo really does give Ribot a run for the title, 'best guitar guest'.

2006 was such a good show.

Thank you Duggy!
duggy 2009-10-31 14:59:57
And I don't make the Tronzo / Ribot comparison as any kind of slight against Ribot, but merely to indicate how rippin' Tronzo's playing is as well! He too is listening wide and knows exactly where/when to play and what!
dbgordon 2009-10-31 18:36:08
Thank you for sharing this spooky gem. I don't have much MMW, and this looks like a pretty tasty sample
