| remains one of my favorites to this day. Was in the first batch to tapes I scored back in 84 when I fell in with a bunch of Deadheads at UNC-W, setting me on the path I've been on ever since. Amazing Scarlet>Fire (with talking drum) and the most heavenly sounding space intro before the Wheel. crackling energy throughout the entire show |

| I was at this show also.A fantastic Scarlet>Fire.Hell,a Fanatastic whole show! I remember hanging out before and after the show Partying at an abandoned school next to the coliseum.Anyone else remember ths school? |

I envy you, getting to hear this for the first time. I can vaguely recall the setting when I first heard this, it was a dorm room at UNC-W and there was a hookah involved. After that things get hazy.......

the echo in the hall during the Fire was fabulous; a call and response if you will. Fire...Fire...Fire
Great "swirl" effect.
The West LA is top notch too.

I was at the show and it is one of the best Scarlet/Fires I have heard. After the drumz is pretty strong as well...so is the next night.

the echoing Fire part came from a separate set of speakers set up in the air towards to back of the arena...they did it in Philly as well...I think Healy was playing with the effects...sounds great on tape and was better live.
to bad they did not continue... |
