Here ya go! I hope everyone will enjoy this as much as we did. They certainly rocked it out and treated us to a 2hr set plus an extended encore.
The taping situation was a little sketchy as the venue staff were unaware pf the DTB is taping policy and also because this show was part of the off-season jazz festival, which usually prohibits our activities. At any rate, the staff were patient and went to great lengths to make sure the band was cool with us recording. Kudos to Marty the sound engineer for giving us permission in the end.
All in all the show featured the mainstay of tunes that were prevalent throughout their fall tour, and they were all played well. I especially liked the 'Get Out Of My Life' which reminded me of those old Jerry shows, and 'Get What You Deserve' which featured an up-tempo extended jam. The highlight of the show was an almost 18 min. 'My Favourite Things' which combined the subleties of John Coltrane and the tonal beauty of John McLaughlin. It was so sweet!
