| I am confused as to how this entire show is only 490MB... |

| Never mind. I noticed on deadlists.com that all of the songs played are rather short versions. |

Would those that have completed this please test for validity.
This does seem awfully short, but it tests out on my end. Also, there was some kind of altercation with the police early in the show. Maybe the band decided to make it a short night. |

| i think the boys were perturbed by the police or something, and just wanted to get the fuck out of there. |

| ^^ and the Atlanta cops never let up...not 'til the very end! That city was the most up-tight place to see a show ever. Stone Mountain was a good party...but God forbid you should get shut out in the parking lot in Atlanta! |

mcgannahan is correct - I was at this show, and the pigs were true pigs. during the entire show the "boss hawg", a sergeant or something, stood to the side of the stage and just stared in pure hate at the "drug crazed hippies" playing *traditional Southern and Western music*. This guy swapped out two or three of his minions when they would start tapping their foot, or otherwise enjoying the music - getting contaminated, ya know...
The Band did a good job, but didn't waste any time getting out of there. Don't know what they did, but later shows in Atlanta had almost no police presence whatsoever. The week before Grand Funk or Vanilla Fudge had played with lots of "bad trips" from "bad acid" that wasn't acid at all, and they figgered the GD breathed fire - until they heard the music... There had just been a big anti- Vietnam rally in Piedmont Park the previous weekend where over 300 of us were arrested because the cops found 1 roach on the ground and "nobody would come forward and claim it". It would have been a felony bust - 3 to 5 years. They hauled off over 300 of us, fingerprinted and photographed us, and made us post bond - then dropped the charges - but the arrest is still on our records... This was the environment this show took place in - a real piece of history. |
