i heard at their latest minneapolis gig (they're from mn) that they didn't allow taping because there was new material. i haven't looked anywhere to confirm if this was true or not. the track "turkey" does look new to me, although i'm just d/ling now. i'll try to help with naming t09.

david_j.. haven't seen ya turn up on a trampled torrent for a while, was getting worried! :) Turkey isn't new afaik, they played it last time they came through chicago a few months ago. I taped TBT last saturday night a the Vic Theater in Chicago and they played a couple new tunes if memory serves, I haven't gotten around to processing it yet to confirm that though. There was one taper FOB and I was balcony rail w/ no complaints from the band, they opened for Cornmeal though which may have made a difference.
Also at the Vic show Dave announced that the kid who stole the banjo out of their van tried selling it to a music store for 300$ and got busted. They're getting the banjo back! Woohoo! |

i just listened to turkey and it definitely isn't new. i'm not sure if there is another name for this instrumental being tossed around, i'll look into it.
wasn't surprised to see you in these comments taperj (: good to see you're staying on top of TBT when i'm slacking. i'm hoping to install some new hard drives soon, when that happens i'll pull a list of my tbt collection and shoot it to you. we can b&p and get each other caught up (i know if i have some uncirculated sources, a couple AUDs of shows that are already available as SBD, etc).
i assume you'll seed TBT chicago here? didn't know banjo dave had his banjo stolen. bummer. TBT shows in MN are a PITA to get tickets to these days. haven't seen them since february i think. |
