|I'm pretty sure I was at this show. If it's "the one," Friends of Dean Martinez opened.
|Thank you kindly
|buncombe, you're right, Friends of Dean Martinez opened. At least one of them played in a few songs with Vic at least one of the two nights.

|Hi guys - Yes, I'm the taper. These two shows are two of my very few recordings that ever circulated, and I'm really proud of how this one came out - I always seemed to run in to technical difficulties, and decided to leave recording to those who were better at it.
As a side note, the re-issue of "Is the Actor Happy?" used "Parameters" from night one (mislabeled in the text file as "Stilted") as one of the bonus tracks. I had met Vic before the show, and he seemed surprised that someone wanted to tape (not sure why, I'm sure others had taped him plenty before), but happily gave permission, and asked for a copy of the DAT, which I of course mailed off. I was glad to see that it was of use to him.
This two-night run at the old Electric Lounge was really something special; everyone in attendance knew it. It still ranks up there as one of my favorite concert experiences.
I missed Vic's last performance here in Austin earlier this month due to the flu. I've never felt worse about missing a show than I do about that one.
|well thanks Dave for clearing that up. these are two of my favorite Vic shows!
|Glad to hear you're enjoying them. Honestly I'm finding them hard to listen to this week, but in time they'll return to being favorites.
|Thanks a lot!
|I miss the Electric Lounge, Classic venue...great tunes & times!
|A BIG thanks for the shows!
|pimphand, keep an eye out for when I get my lazy ass around to posting a couple of Hamell on Trial shows from the Electric Lounge circa 1995. Great stuff.
|This one's especially a classic. Have had a lossy copy for years and grateful for your effort. Like somebody else said, I don't think I can listen right now, but that won't last.

Dave, hope you know that this show (the last live one played) is available on archive.org.
Thanks for taping these. I've had 10/2 for years but never got a copy of 10/1 when you seeded them a few years back.
