I reseeded the Bertha remaster, is that what was requested? I also have the original, preberthafication SBD.
When I burned to CD I have a skip between Scarlet and Fire...Anyone else notice this? Just wondering if it was a conversion problem or not...
Thanks for the matrix though I still haven't decided if it is an improvement over Silberman's Daud. |

Hey Hunter, it's me, Eric, my bro moved again, so I'm using his login (can't remember my password til I get my PC up, long story... and "pc" is not a piece of anatomy, it's "personal computer", I'm really just a pussycat, I should probably say "pussy cat", anyway...),
regarding this:
"slightly overwhelming to me (I'm not the bass OVERload type)"
I agree 100%, too much bass overshadows drums, low keyboard notes, etc. I acutally love to hear the mids and upper ranges of bass, but I grew up a huge fan of John Entwistle, Chris Squire, Geddy Lee, Jack Bruce, Paul McCartney ("Pull M'Cockoff" as one of The Kinks used to refer to him), Rick Danko, Phil Lesh, even, and so on, so I LOVE to hear the full range of the bass, and especially the higher parts. As a guitarist, I was always trying to get my bassist brother to dial those in also, but he is of the Bill Wyman/John Kahn/John Paul Jones "hold down the bottom" school of bass playing in tone, and in technique a bit Phleshy... anyway, I dislike very much when the bass overwhemlms the entire low end, and apparently you like to get a full range spectrum sound, also. I dig it!
Hey, I was listening to one of your matrixes (matrices) a while back, not knowing what I was listening to and I LOVED IT! When I checked what it was that sounded so good (and I am very discriminating in what I like), I found it was one of the shows you had done a matrix of, and IT WAS KILLER!!! Keep up the good work.
