-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the original SHN/FLAC filesets. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.

Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.

Huge thanks goes out to the tapers, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those that have helped get the tunes to our ears.

And thanks to the other 5 guys I've dragged into this and who seem committed to the cause: Louie, Mike Tom, Todd & Jeff....we're all listening to these shows and hopefully circulating the best versions.

All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmw

These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwaccess

Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled...maybe forever?)

I've started a thread over here for us to be able to discuss this project:
http://week4paug.net/index.php/topic=1573.0

enjoy the grooves,
Louie, Mike, Tom, Todd, Jeff & dug

***FOR ALL YOUR SETLIST NEEDS***
MMW Performance History @ http://mmwhistory.com - this is a fantastic resource that allows you to look at info on gigs by MMW and related side projects and guest appearances; big thanks to Tom for creating this page.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

We are actively updating all setlists as we seed, and also others outside the particular order of the project.

db.etree is also being updated in tandem with the updates to Tom's pages -- both the source and show pages.

Great opening Nostalgia/Angel Race medley ... the Drums'n'Bass breakdown out of Brigas Nunca Mais and leading into Latin Shuffle is a cool moment between Billy and Chris -- and it's a breakdown right to scratch with them each exploring the boundaries of their sound ... very cool (and I say it's the two of them because I don't hear John, even on any extra percussion).

And then there's Set II ... oh yeah, Set II! I love hearing Golden Lady in a set and the acoustic version they do is just so nice to the ears ... Felic is another favourite of mine, and these acoustic takes on the tune really show how strong it is I think, as a composition. The whole movement of Set II is really strong with great energy from the band.

Shack Project is on a roll!

I didn't know that they'd ever played Mercy Mercy Mercy with such regularity -- any opinions about especially standout versions from this acoustic run??
duggy 2010-01-21 12:36:22
Yeah, Mercy Mercy Mercy is REAL nice every time, I'd say. Listen for teases of it in various Swamp Road performances from this tour -- happens a bunch of times!

And I'm just about to seed a new source to circulation for 2/13/2000 that has a wild Buster Rides Again/Olde Wyne medley > Mercy Mercy Mercy! It's HOT! The recording isn't as nice as some of these others, but still more than listenable for sure (especially in headphones) ... so, watch for that one! I might get to seeding it tonight ...

Thanks for weighing in, Duggy. I am such a sucker for any setlist that includes Buster Rides Again!
