| Thanks for the seed!!! This is the day I was born! So as my mom is screaming with agony and pain as she's forcing me out the Dead is laying down the law in NC! I have the soundboards but it will be nice to hear the Jerry's vocals in Dire Wolf since they are not present in the SBD's. Great show and a rockin' Bertha! Actually set 2 is pretty awesome! |

| I was at this show. There is a story behind the problems with the lights and Phil calling the light man a dummy. For the previous 6-7 years Cameron had become THE Place for concerts in the local area. Lots of big name acts, lots of college age kids from the surrounding universities. No cops, no hassles ever. The air would be so thick you didn't have to partake to catch a major buzz. Maybe the admins at Duke were wising up or maybe the cops were putting pressure on them or planting narcs in the crowd. Hard to say. But the decision was made to start leaving the floor lights on during concerts to discourage illegal smiles right about this time. But, thanks to Bob & Phil normal activities were allowed to resume. |
