Here is last night's Charlie Wooton Project from Atlanta. He has played every Wednesday here at Charlie Mopp's Public House the month of February. I was looking forward to the show as I do each week. He has a rotating cast of characters in his project, and tonight would be the local favorite, Ralph Roddenbery. I recorded Ralph last week at Smith's Olde Bar and it was a great performance in it's own rite. The place was packed as it is trivia night until Charlie starts. An old friend David H. was set up with audio and video, so I joined him at his table 10' from stage. Perfect!
Charlie came on promptly at the stroke of 9:30 and he can keep on playing lke the Energizer Bunny! They warmed up trading songs between him and Ralph. About an hour into the set, things started to heat up as Rurik, a local fiddle player who sat in last week, joined the band. One song later, it was Ralph Luttrell, Heather's Dad, joining on dobro. Wow, is all I can say. They played most of the rest of the show. Heather showed up and sang 4 songs, right next to her Dad. Noel Felty, nephew of John, the guitarist of Jupiter Coyote sat in for a few. Michael Tolcher arrived and played 2 of his songs. It was off the hook! The band only played one set, but it lasted 3 hours and 38 minutes! I recommend this torrent to all. I have most of the song titles, feel free to assist me with the ones I am not sure of.
Dinner before the show was Hamburgers on the outdoor grill, Chili Con Carne, and Buttered Corn. Late night snack was a couple of Pizza Slices from Uncle Vito's. I was their last customer at 1:55 a.m.

D3 Track 11 should be called "THE HEAT" because Charlie was sure bringing it!!
