Comments: Rough wind noise/hiding mic's? at times (particularly during d1t04). Plane landing right before start of Russian Lullaby. During the break between tracks 4 and 5 of both sets there is a pause in the recording - subsequent to the pause, levels were approximately 2 dB quieter than the first half of the set. A + 2 dB gain using soundforge 5 was applied to normalize to the first part of the set.

Thanks to H.Angus for the CDR source.
DAE(EAC 0.9beta 4, offset corrected, secure mode) > + 2 dB gain (soundforge 5) > tracking (cdwave) > SHN (shorten 3.4) > FTP via C.Ladner/candyman FTP.

This is my only JGB show, and it remains a great memory. I think there may be a different source, as I think I have a soundboard. The jet noise was really bad as you are in the landing pattern of a very busy airport in San Diego, but it was still a great show and wonderful memory.

Mighty fine!! Thank you for sharing this and the following night's show. I have some really great memories of this show and venue, this'll take me right back nicely!!

Any chance you have the SBD still, samadams757??

I just pulled out cassettes labeled Dat>Cassette master. I recall going to someones house in San Diego and listening to the show as we dubbed it from DAT to his Nak for me. For the life of me I cannot recall his name and I do not have the mic/DAT/cassette deck info. They sound pretty good, but I'm not sure if they're a big upgrade. I'll have to give them a listen to see if they're worth transferring...

Also, what a fun venue. Tiny, made completely out of concrete - like a mini Greek. Also, being in the direct flight path of Lindbergh Field, jet noise made the show interesting. I saw the musical "Showboat" at the same venue. Every time a plane was about to fly over a red light went on. When it went on the performers froze. When the light went off, they started where they left off. Jerry didn't pause...
