comments as per Deadlists:
During the pause after Hard To Handle they switch to acoustic,
shifting back to electric during the impromptu blues with an
unknown vocalist following Katie Mae. The unknown vocalist
continues his bizarre contributions, including some harmonica,
during Not Fade Away > Lovelight.
Latvala reports that there are two reels in the vault labeled with
this date; the second is blank; the contents of the first are l
isted here. Perhaps we are missing the rest of the concluding
electric set, although this seems complete as listed.

****Please stay on the seed for a while after you finish downloading****
A significant number of people are jumping off seeds too early. Please remain connected until enough people have gotten over the hump. This is especially important on the less popular seeds.
Help me out here. |

I found this all very interesting so I researched it a little bit.
I would direct you to the "reviews" on Live Archive for this night.
I cannot attest to anything as fact, but I thought I'd pass it along.

Pretty good show, but all sonic weirdness (the harpist) has been said already....
thanks to the Archive link for CONFIRMING that this show was in fact at what is now the Celebrity Theatre....at some point during Pig's miniset he says (between songs) something like "why's everyone spinning around?" and part of the Celebrity Theatre's selling point used to be the rotating stage; the venue is a huge circle with the stage a small circular stage smack int he middle.
I don't even know when they stopped rotating the stage but every time i've been there (4-5 Ratdog shows, Widespread Panic, Smashing Pumpkins a couple of times, maybe 2-5 other shows) the house is cut in half and the stage doesn't even rotate.
anyways.
thanks for uploading.

thank you for the 1970 dead.
my favorite year.
the reviews on archive are interesting
obviously they let somebody have a microphone who shouldn't've
some random guy is yelling into the mic trying to sing
really screwing it up, especially during NFA
anyways, someone in the archive comments says it was wayne ceballos,
whoever that is, somebody fgrom another band
but then someone else claiming to actually be wayne ceballos chimes in
and he calls everyone idiots and denies that it was him onstage
weird. anyways, thanks again.
great recording
and besides the intruder,
the band sounds great
thank you |
