That's great Ned. Nice work all around.
So the obvious question is in this great sounding venue, what are your opinions about the sources? You were obviously closer to the stage, and there is a thread right now in TS about the Greek sounding better from the OTS opposed to up front.

I've had the chance to tape about 10 shows at at the Greek when I was living in the area and most were made from the section. I think you get a more balanced recording from the tapers section but with the right gear and the right location an even better recording can be made from the floor.
This Neumann source is too close to the stage but the B&K source I also posted was taped from the next section back.
The Greek floor has the main floor and then two tiered steps up and the best tapes are made from one of those tiers.
For Phish this summer the best recording will either be the B&K's down on one of those tiers about 100 feet back or a nice pair of large mics like a U87, U89 or TLM 170 from the section. |

| fob at the greek is a waste of time imo...too low. Section all the way. My panic fob km 140 2001 greek fob's sound muffled. Section tapes sound from an akg patch...money. Too close and the pit is too low...miss the monitors even. Tough fob pull there.. |
