Here is another tape from the old collection that wasn't in the db. I don't remember if this came from a bootleg cd or a friend's cd-r, but it sounds cassette-sourced. There are some slightly crispy parts but nothing too bad.

Thanks again to the folks running the Project 94, I stole some notes from the recent aud seed of this show. Enjoy!!

Peaches En Regalia = nice!!

Thanks, taperj!

Oh - and they were giving away Phish tix out front of Chicago and Alpine Valley last summer, btw...getting tix shouldn't be a prob.
Lilypad 2010-03-27 20:18:31
@cfunk: at Alpine Valley on the saturday night there were plenty of lawn tickets going for face value in the parking lot (or less than face value)

If that helps.

Taperjoe (or anyone else who can help), what do you use to get your cassettes to digital format? Never tried it, but I've got a bunch of crispy tapes that it might be worthwhile to give it a shot. Thanks for any guidance.

Peaches and a Reba? Where do I sign up? Many thanks for the upload.

bkleo - there are options. You can either use the analog inputs to a sound card or some type of usb/firewire audio interface to go straight to a computer HD via a recording program, or spin the tapes into any digital recorder then transfer to computer from there. I use the digital recorder method since I own 2 of them (722 and MR-1). Unless you can adjust the input level, I'd avoid the soundcard method though this can still be OK.

My favorite advice: it's become clear to me that no cassette spins at exactly the right speed (unless it's a master from the same deck, then maybe). Some pitch/speed adjustment is always necessary. When I transfer tapes I get out the trusty Strat, tune it up, & then tune the tape to the guitar with the pitch control on the deck. All you need is a track that you know the key of & go from there. Of course this may not be possible for those without a reference or no musical instrument. Just a thought, I'd rather have the tape spinning at the right speed while it's being digitized rather than alter the pitch in the digital realm.

I hope this helps. If I can help more email me - theiceweasel AT hotmail.

I just realized that all these files are labeled as the 17th & not the 27th. The test file & ffp are dated correctly but the songs are dated incorrectly. Sorry!

I think this was the third Phish show I saw (and the first one that I really dug). I've always had a tape of the first set (AUD) but never the second set. I remember them passing out boxes of macaroni and cheese for the audience to use as percussion, then later asking everybody to drop the boxes in a barrel upon leaving the venue so they could be donated to a food bank, and that bummed me out because I was utterly broke and was already planning to eat it.

I've been looking for this for quite a while. Sincere thanks for making it available. Bravo!

thanks! and perfectly coordinated with Project '94.. nice ;)
I'll try to get the next couple of those up soon..

yeah, I guess it's asking too much to for people transferring tapes into their COMPUTER to have some sort of device for generating a reference tone. Where o where might someone find such a thing if they don't have a handy guitar? Maybe they could use their computer to Google up some ideas.

by the way, this Reba is beyond epic, trey and mike sound like they are using mental speak here, really equal to Halloween later this year in my opinion!!

Awesome!

I have been hammering away at making a two disc mix of the Best of April "April's Arrival" with your uploads.

I have been blending the tracks together seemlessly in sound forge--I am going to do my first upload with them on the 1st.

I am goin go do this for every month--artwork, too. I really am loving Project 94. Thank you for it.

(I am also doing this with my Hendrix bootlegs, btw- for Jimi Fans)

Two of the files that I downloaded were corrupt (tracks 1: Suzy and 4:Reba). Anyone have a fix for this problem?

Thanks!
