| I was at this show! It was a fun day of music N.R.P.S., Willie Nelson and then The Grateful Dead. It was a day time show and was over by about 6 0r 7 at night. I remember the Jack Straw stood out because of Dan Healy's sound trick. During Jack Straw after the lead when the band comes back to sing the lyric JACK STRAW Healy cranked the vocal mikes for just those 2 words JACK STRAW. I remember all of my friends looking at each other and saying HOLY SHIT. It was those little things that to this day stand out in my mind for some strange reason, listen for it when you play download and play this show. |

I'm curious to know if this one sounds better than the other several copies I have... I really love the Eyes on this one.
Thanks! |

| this copy is patched and pitch corrected, but since I haven't heard your copies, I can't comment on if it's better. |

| My friend's Dad won tickets to this show from a Central NJ newspaper and dragged me along at age 14 for my second GD show. 1st was hometown Englishtown almost exactly a year before to which I rode over on my bicycle at age 13. Had to see what all the hoop-la was exactly about! |

My first Dead show. Bet you didn't know that Charlie!
Haven't heard this version, but in all the previously circulating boards, the 1st set always sounds stepped on with a lot of analog noise and the second set sounded totally compressed as if improperly played through dolby or DBX. |

| Apparently something happened backstage which prompted the Dead to end the second set rather quickly after the drumz. |

Nice! I look (listen?) forward to hearing how this compares to the other SBD, too. The other one just struck me as "decent"-sounding.
This show was also the first appearance of the Scarlet > Fire, Estimated > Eyes tetrad, I believe. |

| My recollection of why the show was cut short after the drumz was that they had to clear the place out because the Trotters were running right next door and they had to get all of us out of the parking lot for that. |

| I asked this girl I really liked to go to the show and paid for her ticket and when I picked her up, she had another guy with her. How disappointing was that? Thanks Valerie. |

they must have played this show on the way to Egypt!
check out the 7:24 mark of Jack Straw -- it sounds like a radio broadcast - a commercial for "universal showcase theatres throughout the metropolitan area"...
Thank for this one -- and ALL the other, too, Charlie!
You are amazing.

| I had a blast at this show! I have heard many people raving about it over the years, Musically I didn't remember it being a standout. I can't wait to be proven wrong, hearing it again after all these years. |
