| Description | OK people here's a possible upgrade to the existing copy of this source that currently circulates. I was patched out of Jeff Jordan's rig at this show, and this transfer is from my master. The etree db entry for the source comes from an Aldo Torre DAT, and is missing most of Cavern and Axis. My DAT contains both of them completely. There *is* one minor issue with my DAT- it is missing most of the 2nd part of TMWSIY. I don't remember why my master has that cut, but the tape was running the whole time, so most likely a deck ahead of mine in the chain had an issue (battery change or whatever). I spliced in the missing bit from the Nak 300 source that was recently seeded.
Also interesting that the currently circulating source cuts right after the start of Cavern, almost exactly 2 hours into the DAT. I am guessing the show was cloned to a 2 hour DAT at some point (Aldo's copy) and thus cuts at that point.
Whatever the case, here is a more complete copy of the circulating source. Enjoy!

| What is the best source between this, the sbd, the nak300, and the akg461??? Thanks!!! |

AKG461>DAT (most of Cavern > end of show is Technics SV-260A)
Whats the difference between this^ source and the one just posted?
Thanks from a noob!!!!!!:) |

Is akg461 just shorthand for this-->AKG 460B/ck61?
thanks... |

| This fileset has Cavern and Axis from the AKG rig, the copy documented in the etree db does not (they are from the Technics source). The info in the db file is semi confusing. Anyway see my comments in the torrent description itself for further details/info. |

well, the source info in the db for SHNID 22281 is: "AKG461>DAT (most of Cavern > end of show is Technics SV-260A)"
But the Technics SV-260A is a DAT deck, not a type of microphone. So I interpret the source for 22281 to be all sourced from an AKG 461, but that two different DATs were used from the same recording to get a complete copy of the show. Maybe I'm right, maybe not. In any case, it is a bit confusing.
Thanks for sharing this version. |

| ah-so! Yes, a little confusing/ambiguous. Since the main source info doesn't specify the deck used in mastering, it's a little bit weird that the deck used for the patched part does! Maybe I'm not adding anything "new" here after all. If anyone actually has a copy of the 22281 db source, perhaps they can shed some light. I was thinking the Technics data was a set of mics! ha ha. In any case, here's a fresh transfer from a DAT master patched at the show itself... do with it what you will... |
