For any fans of the Original Meters, there is a petition online, which is going to be sent to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, requesting that the Meters be inducted into the Hall.
If you don't wish to put your address, feel free to just put a zip code in the address field, but the more "signatures" the better!

kaahzmyk: Yes, there is a page on Facebook in support of this cause, but we are trying to encourage all of the FB people to sign that petition as well so that we have something more concrete to send to the HOF people. I am also working on a presentation / letter to accompany the petition, presenting the powers that be at the HOF with solid reasons why the Meters need to be inducted.

yo, thanks a mil. for this one. long time meters fan. love this funky meters incarnation a lot. I prefer ian nev to stoltz. more true to the leo nocentelli OG style. less rock and more skank.
art's voice is a little a hoarse, but still that glimmer of soulfulness percolates through the rasp. and no one plays the organ like poppa funk. the music's on point here.
