This is a pseudo-reseed. Back in the olden days when I started fooling with uploading,
I did a rip with Nero 6 and upped it at dime. In my oblivious newbieness, I also deleted
the encoded files. Here, in all its glory, is a proper EAC rip with new checksums and all.

Originally concise old-school Featroller review, blown up to Windbag Edition:

Many years back there was a discussion on the hoyhoy digest (Little Feat's listserv)
about favorite Feat shows on disc. Almost as an afterthought somebody mentioned this
one, and a bunch of folks chimed in with yeah that's right! It's a fine recording of a
great performance of a unique set list. A must-have for Dog Race fans -- the closing
reprise out of Spanish Moon is a short but sweet reminder of the early 10-minute smoker.

But what makes this almost bizarre is no Dixie Chicken and no Fat Man. If there is another
show out there with neither of those staples, I'm unaware of it. And it's not such a bad
deal. I think it serves as a showcase for Guitar Fred who plays Strat, trumpet, mandolin
and that beautiful sounding electric/acoustic guitar he uses on Distant Thunder. Especially
mandolin -- Everything I Do is my favorite Fred vocal, with that mandolin funk. And he
really shines on Shaun's Rio Esperanza -- just vocal, piano, bass and Fred's Mexican-style
mandolin. It's just a gorgeous performance.

One more note. This show could be evidence of a heretofore underrated influence in Feat concert
history: golf. Paul mentions that they had the previous day off in Buffalo and that he (and
presumably Kenny) played golf. Throughout the show, the band is fresh, energetic and sprightly.
From now on, someone should keep track of shows played following a day off, especially one
featuring a round on the links. This could be a leading indicator of an especially hot show.
Leisure sports have long been neglected in rock history. Keith Moon of The Who was known to
travel with a set of clubs, reportedly employing a 9-iron on one or more occasions to assist
in demolishing his drum kit. Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones was an avid croquet player, turning
down a promising career on the pro croquet tour. And the late great Warren Zevon is rumored to
have been the highest scoring bowler in the history of the lanes at the Betty Ford Clinic. The
inspirational value of even 2/7 of the Feat whacking their little balls around should not be
underestimated.

Thank you again [and again!] for laying some Feat on us all. FYI, there is a great article on the band in the last issue of MOJO.
