This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the original SHN/FLAC filesets. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.
Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.
Huge thanks goes out to the tapers, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those that have helped get the tunes to our ears.
And thanks to the other 5 guys I've dragged into this and who seem committed to the cause: Louie, Mike Tom, Todd & Jeff....we're all listening to these shows and hopefully circulating the best versions.

Wanted to head down to this gig but just couldn't swing it at the time -- we'd already made our MMW trip in the acoustic spring ...
Another great little set ... and do yourself a favour and check out the Béla & Tones set:

... that's 7 of them on stage ... I wish the Tones would expand more like this more often ... I have a cassette of them in '97 with Scofield that just rips with wild improv ... but that conversation is for another place ... HA!
Anyway, I'm back onto seeding through 2000 gigs ... with a possible detour to a later year for which I've had some requests ...

... the 4/7 gig suffers from a bit of an echo (but has a new tune!), and the 4/9 has an incomplete first tune and a few drop-outs in the first moments of each set, but other than that the sets sound terrific. |
