-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the original SHN/FLAC filesets. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.
Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.
Huge thanks goes out to the tapers, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those that have helped get the tunes to our ears.
And thanks to the other 5 guys I've dragged into this and who seem committed to the cause: Louie, Mike Tom, Todd & Jeff....we're all listening to these shows and hopefully circulating the best versions.
All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmw
These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwaccess
Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled...maybe forever?)
I've started a thread over here for us to be able to discuss this project:

enjoy the grooves,
Louie, Mike, Tom, Todd, Jeff & dug |

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
***FOR ALL YOUR SETLIST NEEDS***
MMW Performance History @ http://mmwhistory.com - this is a fantastic resource that allows you to look at info on gigs by MMW and related side projects and guest appearances; big thanks to Tom for creating this page.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
We are actively updating all setlists as we seed, and also others outside the particular order of the project.
db.etree is also being updated in tandem with the updates to Tom's pages -- both the source and show pages.

Well worth the download ... another great guest spot ... Hottentot is nice! Very playful set too ... interesting fake out into Start/Stop and then jumping into Partido Alto ... anyway, of course I'm telling you to grab this -- that's why I'm seeding it! HA!
Also, in case anybody missed this on earlier torrents: Since I was unable to share these filesets due to tracker restrictions I posted them via megaupload.com ... so if you want these FLACs of audio ripped from the ustream.tv videos please feel free to grab the zip files:

... the 4/7 gig suffers from a bit of an echo (but has a new tune!), and the 4/9 has an incomplete first tune and a few drop-outs in the first moments of each set, but other than that the sets sound terrific. |

| Does anyone have the Burlington, VT show at the Higher Ground? It was either late 99 or early 2000. I recorded the show, but don't have access to the show (a friend curretly holds the masters). Thanks |

august 2000 how i love you.
I was at this show - and I'm a big Trey and Phish fluffer (incert flame)....but this was my fav guitar sit in w/ MMW i ever saw.
Warren sounds like he practiced hottentot and jelly belly with them before the show....it is that good imo.
I have a DAT master from AKG 481's - i will re-listen and compare to this.
thanks shack project |
