-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the original SHN/FLAC filesets. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.

Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.

Huge thanks goes out to the tapers, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those that have helped get the tunes to our ears.

And thanks to the other 5 guys I've dragged into this and who seem committed to the cause: Louie, Mike Tom, Todd & Jeff....we're all listening to these shows and hopefully circulating the best versions.

All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmw

These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwaccess

Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled...maybe forever?)

I've started a thread over here for us to be able to discuss this project:

enjoy the grooves,
Louie, Mike, Tom, Todd, Jeff & dug

***FOR ALL YOUR SETLIST NEEDS***
MMW Performance History @ http://mmwhistory.com - this is a fantastic resource that allows you to look at info on gigs by MMW and related side projects and guest appearances; big thanks to Tom for creating this page.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

We are actively updating all setlists as we seed, and also others outside the particular order of the project.

db.etree is also being updated in tandem with the updates to Tom's pages -- both the source and show pages.

And what do we have here? Yet *another* kickin' Improv to start the show ... and the rest of that set is just silly, it's so good ...

Set II opens with what I believe is the first known performance of Afro Blue by MMW -- VERY cool to my ears ... I remember there being some folks not impressed with MMW's arrangement of the tune at the time, but I quite like it ... and that LCTDT(P) is a bit of a monster too!

I love it when Chris kicks in with that bass line to start Uninvisible!

A little dip in to 2003, I see. Thanks duggy!

I'll second Duggy's comments regarding the Improvs. I vividly recall watching John give hand gestures to Chris & Billy signaling key changes. Also, listen for John's 'toy' Yamaha keyboard (the little one, CX-1, perhaps? he used to keep atop the Clav, I believe) -- John gets this nasty sub-octave keyboard tone while Chris plays a higher, single note pattern on the upright. Anyways, grab this show if you don't already have it... Thanks Duggy!

Thanks for all these shoes duggy, they are new and good to me.

I'm hearing Legalize It where you've marked Afro Blue - two great covers, maybe worth another listen for the archives. Enjoy.

"I'm hearing Legalize It where you've marked Afro Blue - two great covers, maybe worth another listen for the archives."

That's because they ARE playing Legalize It! HA!

My mistake folks ... although I'd like to credit Mike with the initial mistake when he created the textfile! HA! But I should have caught that ... just didn't register the mix-up ... and I'm uncertain now whether I changed Mike's initial info to that mistake or not ... (sorry Mike if I botched the update to your textfile!)

So, set II opens with Legalize It (NOT Afro Blue!) ... it's pretty evident when you listen to the track! HA!

Text file displayed above has been updated, as has Tom's history page and db.etree ... folks need to update their own text files accordingly ...

Apologies for the screw up guys ... I generally listen just before seeding, but I didn't get a chance with this one -- it's on tonight's listening schedule actually! (Yep, I've got a schedule!)
