What an insane day weather wise. I got off work and headed for my truck to go to the show. I stopped to get a double espresso for the road at the coffee shop and as I left it started pouring rain, the first of two huge storms hit the Chicago area. The Morton Arboretum is 37 miles from my apartment and the trip there took me just over 2 hours in traffic as torrential rains pounded down with lightning and hail. Parts of Lake Shore Drive were flooded(per usual) and all this during rush hour. I finally got to the Arboretum and got through will call smoothly and in to the show in plenty of time(thanks for the guestlist spot Dave!). The night was now calm as could be weather wise and I even debated not using windscreens. I got set up and was ready to rock. This was to be the eye of the storm. Dr. John played a great opening set that saw some folks getting down on the lawn and then Blues Traveler came on after a warning about the bad weather being on it's way back. After just a few songs they stopped the show and said to pack up, in the end it ended up being perfect timing for the warning, I broke down my rig, got to my truck, and just as I pulled out of the arboretum the weather hit. Another insane torrential storm. As I was driving home in near zero visibility one of those orange 50 gallon drums that are in construction areas flew out in front of my vehicle making me swerve at about 45 mph on the expressway. No harm done luckily, other than me almost having a coronary. Anyway, Blues Traveler was rockin' it in the time they had, hopefully they'll be back around here soon.
If there is anyone who would like a 24bit/48kHz copy of this drop a comment and I'll seed it.
Enjoy folks. |

| I just noticed that I misnamed the folder on the torrent, the filenames are all correct within it but you will want to rename the folder to the correct date(change 2010-05-18 to 2010-06-18). My apologies on the mixup. There is also the addition of Dropping Some NYC to the setlist. |

| Thanks for you time and effort in getting this abbreviated show recorded and shared. It would suck getting all of that expensive recording gear soaked. Glad your monsoonal experience ended safely! |
