Thanks to Mike Kutik for the clamp space

am i correct in sensing Mikes location isnt a secret for good sound anymore?

he always says while he like FOB, the behind brd has no crowd and more balance...healy with the GD used to say 85 feet is optimal..i wonder what Garry Brown thinks

Mike is very tenacious about being dead center no matter how far back he needs to be to do so, and real high up.

I agree one of the key elements to a good aud is managed crowd noise, which is usually unmanageable FOB.

ive yet to see a picture of his rig this tour...batman flying high??
LAStubbe 2010-06-20 13:24:32
Oh yea, those wings are soaring.

I just added this one to the etree database (both 16 bit & 24 bit versions in the same entry) -

thanks!

No, neither The Caped Crusader or The Boy Wonder have flown this tour. At Summer Sheds, I've drawn complaints about the 12-inch figurine ( vintage '88 ) blocking the view ( ?!?!? ) from the lawn. At Hershey, my only real chance, the Bat-Mount in the center of my stand was in use as an umbrella holder. Although the mini parasol stayed folded aLL night, it is more important to be prepared than to be enviably and dynamically fashionable.
I feel I MUST Bat-adorn my stand for The Greek Shows, and Telluride will be flat, which is ideal for stand flair AND acoustics!

interesting thoughts about rig placement. one of the best sounding aud's I'd ever heard out of Great Woods was taped from low in the lawn bleachers: the levels were all nice and even, sound clear, and just the right amount of crowd.

"tenacious"

heh.
