Comments:

For Dave from Sugarmegs, who suggested this project.

These two sources compliment each other very well. The soundboard has crisp vocals which the audience recording
lacks, and the audience has a better high end than the soundboard.

Thanks to the tapers and seeders who made this possible.

YES!!! I have been hoping for a matrix of this for some time.
This was one of my very favorite shows I attended.
First set is really good---one of my best Dead memories.
During the I Know You Rider-just as Jerry was singing -"I 'd shine my light through the cool Colorado rain"-
there was an airplane landing at the airport and as if it was magically planned--the planes headlights lit up the sky as we watched the stage right at that moment with the rain pouring down--it was surreal.

The second set is awesome. The Playin'>Terrapin>Playin" is
sweet. This was my favorite Terrapin I ever saw...really sweet and full of passion.
Man...what a great night all those years ago.
Thanks for the share!

I was there too and second the thoughts about this unique and amazing show (see my review on archive.org). Yes, it really did start to rain through the "cool Colorado rain" verse. True story. Second set, a crescent moon came out over the stage, setting up my all time favorite Terrapin for sure. Phil is way turned up in the 2d set, especially durinig Playin, Terrapin and the craziest and most unique Other One of the 80s. Phil goes absolutely beserk during the instrumental between the 2 verses, slamming his 4 string from that summer/fall which made a cracking noise (a la Truckin in Ventura, Not Fade Away in Tempe, Space/Other One/Morning Dew in Portland Me., etc.) and the place goes equally wild. Unique breaks, timing, jamming and interpretation of the whole song. Unlike any other version of it during the Brent era. Playin Reprise at the end of the set brought this set full circle. Ying Yang, etc. What an opening night of that amazing 3 nite run. Probably my all time favorite attended run when you take into account the vibe, venue, playing, etc.

There is another circulated aud source which I have a low gen of which is Nak 300s and definitely not Jim Wise's source. It is much brighter and bass accentuated than Jim's source (with all due credit to to my friend Jim) but doesn't seem to circulate off the master. Would love that taper to come forward!!!! I never liked the SBD mix, as it has no Phil or Bobby in it....

so how about that second & third night?
