Thanks again for these and the Cal Expo 90 runs!

Perhaps the most "bass-centric" SBD I've ever heard, at first. Having been a Phil fan for many years, I was amazed at the detail and the amazing stuff he was doing that normally does not make it out of the mix. Charlie has done a wonderful job with what appears to be a challenging source. The overall mix quality improves as the show goes on, after a rough and muddy start. I was at this show, my B-day in fact, and the quality was stellar in the OMNI, as usual, so why was this recording so out of balance on the first couple songs? Who knows... After a few songs it starts sounding pretty darn good though. Thanks again CM. Interestingly, the audience can be heard throughout. On this '90 run the Atlanta crowd was near hysterical for all three shows, for a couple of reasons, The Dragon was definitely in town! Brent was outstanding in this Atlanta run. "Easy to Love You" very moving and studio quality, but better! Don't think the boys ever sounded better than this last stand in Atlanta with Brent. '91 with Hornsby was real good, but nothing ever matched the tightness and beauty of the '89 and '90 shows, for shows on the latter part of their career; hearkening back to '73 and '74. On this stand Jerry is razor sharp, voice is great, words clear and complete. Guess that's why they made a live album (Without a Net) using [in part] material from the 1st and 3rd. Hopefully a pristine SBD source will emerge.

Definitely a keeper, despite the imperfect source. There is a MTX by Hansokolow of the show on the 1st that is stellar. This SBD and the Hinko SBD of the third appear to be all that is available. I hope I'm wrong - please advise... Thx.
