Dylan LeBlanc was one of seven acts to perform at the Muscle Shoals Music Past and Present concert, a free show held in the Muscle Shoals High School Auditorium. It featured The Decoys backing up Mike Farris (Screaming Cheetah Wheelies) and Russell Smith (Amazing Rhythm Aces), a Lenny LeBlanc acoustic set, The Civil Wars (John Paul White and Joy Williams), and Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit. It was a fun show with a nice variety of music.
Prior to Dylan's set, Pace, a Shoals-based filmmaker and music writer read excerpts from a LeBlanc interview. LeBlanc later stated "Don't believe that stuff you read on the internets. Not one word of it is true." LeBlanc is the son of Shoals-based singer/songwriter James LeBlanc.
Sorry for the holes in the set list. I could not make out the title of Track 4, but it's a new song. I think Track 5 is as well. I hope I have a chance to tape the full band in the future. Dylan was accompanied by keyboardist Ben Tanner and drummer Jon Davis. His set was one of the highlights of the evening.
