Another great show! I just made arrangements to grab a 1st gen copy of the same Nak300 source that provided the Bogart's show from 12/3, I'll get it up here sometime soon...

Sweet man, that'll be fantastic...12/7 and 12/8 are both "unknown" sources, the 7th doesn't sound too bad though but they could both use an upgrade. Here's hoping...I think I have a buddy that has boxes of DATs, I have to take some lessons on how to transfer...

i used a pzm type microphone to record panic in 99.

Realistic PZM's have a lot of self-noise, but that's masked by the tape noise. The key here is that instead of using a single AA cell in each mic, a pair of 6v cells was used for each, yielding better low frequency response, and lower distortion during loud sounds. Happy to see this reposted and gettin' some love. It was a good week of Phish that week.
