**Note: The DAT of this show was recorded really, really hot and subsequently has
some noise issues. It reminds me of the September Japan shows with that constant
cricket sound in the background but not as prevelant. More of a weird, brittle,
crackling at loud points due to the mic overloading. That and a really noisy crowd
around the mics keep this from being an 'A' quality recording IMO. A shame since
the performance is hot and the guests are interesting.**(rossta1 4/22/03)**

-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the original SHN/FLAC filesets. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.

Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.

Huge thanks goes out to the tapers, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those that have helped get the tunes to our ears.

And thanks to the other 5 guys I've dragged into this and who seem committed to the cause: Louie, Mike Tom, Todd & Jeff....we're all listening to these shows and hopefully circulating the best versions.

All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmw

These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwaccess

Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled...maybe forever?)

I've started a thread over here for us to be able to discuss this project:
http://week4paug.net/index.php/topic=1573.0

enjoy the grooves,
Louie, Mike, Tom, Todd, Jeff & dug

***FOR ALL YOUR SETLIST NEEDS***
MMW Performance History @ http://mmwhistory.com - this is a fantastic resource that allows you to look at info on gigs by MMW and related side projects and guest appearances; big thanks to Tom for creating this page.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

We are actively updating all setlists as we seed, and also others outside the particular order of the project.

db.etree is also being updated in tandem with the updates to Tom's pages -- both the source and show pages.

These older torrents are still alive and will NOT have new seeds created; if you want 'em, hop onto these older seeds:

And this is another request by somebody recently ...

This show is killer, but unfortunately this is not a great capture of the evening -- the recording just doesn't sound too hot, due to the recording levels (as Ross notes), and possibly the gymnasium's acoustics, I'd wager! HA! (A gym?? Was there missile silo available to host the show??)

Anyway, I still think this is worth a listen for the show alone, and I come back to it from time to time ...
duggy 2010-11-17 13:32:18
Oh, there were also requests for 11/23/2001 & 7/17/2003.

11/23/2001 will be coming soon ...

7/17/2003 doesn't *really* circulate -- a few folks have it -- but hopefully I'll change that soon as I should be getting a copy which I'll then share on here.
