| I am curious to know what this corrects? |

Dumb question... but for these 'older shows' originally coming off of cassette masters, how can 24 bit actually improve anything over 16 bit?
I would have thought the bit-rate of the originals limited the subsequent remasters...
Thanks, just a bit confused by the technology :)

>> I am curious to know what this corrects?
The pitch of the encores.
>> how can 24 bit actually improve anything over 16 bit?
24 bit doesn't actually "improve" anything. On a good quality analog recording 24 bits can produce a more accurate representation of what was on the source. How much better a 24 bit recording sounds is linked to how good the analog master sounds.
If you search 24 bit audio on Google, you will get some detailed information. |

| Seremetcc... apologies... my 'dumb question' remark was with reference to my own question. Never intended it to refer to you. |
