Following a solid show in Glasgow, the band travels back down into England for a show in Manchester the following evening. Here is truly where the 2000 European tour gets going. In addition to using the first couple of weeks to work out the kinks of playing the new material live for the first time, the set lists for the first 2 weeks of the tour have, for the most part, contained the same songs slightly rearranged with a couple of interchangeable songs on different nights. On this night, we begin to not only hear the band rounded into form, but significant changes and additions to the material played. 'Nothingman' and 'Leatherman' join 'Betterman' in the set list for the first time (although it will be a couple more weeks before they are all played in succession). A blistering version of Neil Young's 'Fuckin Up' appears for the first time as does 'Footsteps', a reworking of Temple Of The Dog's 'Times Of Trouble' originally found on the B-side of the 'Jeremy' single. In addition, 'Garden', a song rarely played on the entire 2000 tour, is given a far better treatment than in Dublin, where Eddie forgets the lyrics to the second verse and the song just falls apart.
