I saw 2 shows of this year's Jimmy Herring Band. After my second show, I decided that next trip home, I was gonna dig this tape out and upload it. I put this under JHB. It was billed as the Apartment Project. Three out of the 4 members of the current JHB were playing together here. That is why I put it under that label. My buddy Chris Cage and I used to hit Little Five Points for many Apartment Project shows. I met my friend Jason at this show.

I was working all fall at West Point as we just took over the concessions at Army during the summer. I had Mike and Chris, 2 of my managers with me and we went down to Manhattan as I raved to them about these guys. They helped me run up a huge bar tab as we had a great time! I am quite sure we stopped at one of the several Diners I used to frequent after NYC shows.

Enjoy this little hidden for 12 years gem!

THANK YOU! I have come accross some of those shows long ago and that format really showcases Jimmy. Kinda like a less structured Jimmy Herring Band.

Wow!!! Thanks for posting this one. I went to a show in Boston on this tour and got the absolute WORST board feed that you can imagine...the tape was unlistenable. BUT...on the upside...I and about 15 of Boston's smartest people saw one hell of a show.

Pretty funny to call anything FOB at Mannys Car Wash. Can only mean front of bar in that place. I loved and miss the tiny little hole in the wall and the old Lone Star Cafe
