-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the original SHN/FLAC filesets. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.

Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.

Huge thanks goes out to the tapers, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those that have helped get the tunes to our ears.

And thanks to the other 5 guys I've dragged into this and who seem committed to the cause: Louie, Mike Tom, Todd & Jeff....we're all listening to these shows and hopefully circulating the best versions.

All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmw

These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwaccess

Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled...maybe forever?)

I've started a thread over here for us to be able to discuss this project:

enjoy the grooves,
Louie, Mike, Tom, Todd, Jeff & dug

***FOR ALL YOUR SETLIST NEEDS***
MMW Performance History @ http://mmwhistory.com - this is a fantastic resource that allows you to look at info on gigs by MMW and related side projects and guest appearances; big thanks to Tom for creating this page.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

We are actively updating all setlists as we seed, and also others outside the particular order of the project.

db.etree is also being updated in tandem with the updates to Tom's pages -- both the source and show pages.

SEED #2 from 2005

The evening set after the workshop set earlier on ... some short but nice Improv to start the set and then we're into some of the tunes we'll hear much from over the spring of '05, but things are being played with and this was a very improv-heavy time for the band as we'll see in the shows to come ...

Reflector becomes like the "tune of the times" so to speak, with some VERY killer versions -- this one being no exception ... and Moti Mo is always a nice way to wrap the set ...

I *LOVE* Who the Fuck?!!! I could listen to that EVERY show! It's short but just pounding!

Great great show!! I have the 60min interview w/ 30min improv set from earlier in the day as well. Is that out there?

Shack, what was the story behind this one again? Did I get a copy from the taper and send it your way? I may have gotten it from a fellow NYC taper, Larry Goldberg. I can't find any info on my end re: the gear used.

Anyway, grab this show, a def top 2005 pick.

cheers,

rD
