This recording was shelved for a while for a very annoying short in left channel mic cable.
In the end, fixing the left channel proved to be too much work, so I copied the right channel
to the left and it sounded pretty good to me.
The levels pick up around Stuck on the Corner when the whole band gets to rock it out a bit.

This was fairly early in my taping career. About two months after my first audience taping, which was Todd at Shakori Hills (where I met my first fellow taper, capnhook53). Back when I was nervous when I saw "NO RECORDING OF ANY KIND" signs. So I set up just FOB where I looked like I might be part of the sound crew. I wish I had been halfway down the hill. Oh well, it turned out better than I expected.
I believe this was the first time the original Nervous Wrecks had played together in many years. I think Todd took too long to crank up the tempo. He's got a stable of thoroughbreds on the stage and he walks them through half the set. But it was a hell of a show. It was hotter than nine kinds of hell. |

| As a general question -- does Todd allow open taping? |

Yes todd allows and goes to bat for open taping at every show.
Just no more sbd patches since 2009 when the official site was created.

Oh yeah. Todd is open taping. And shmc is being modest. He's the guy going to bat for the tapers. Thanks, Brian! Todd is super cool to continue to allow tapers to do their thing even though he is selling live matrices now.
There were permanent signs at Levitt Shell that said no recording of any kind. I have since learned when I can ignore those for the most part. |
