Unfortunately & regrettably only captured 2 complete songs during this
set! I was setting up for Neil Young and captured this getting "piped"
through so we could listen to between acts.
However, I feel it needs to get out there.
1) Thursday
2) Poetry: "It's not like that anymore."
The quality is not the greatest but I still get moved listening to
Sandman. We miss you badly, man! |

Thank you!. My friends and I spent about ten minutes talking with Mark before Morphine's set; very warm and friendly guy, but he did not look good, even then. As I recall - and I do not say tis to be cruel - his teeth were practically rotting out of his mouth, and he was EXTREMELY thin. Music lost a true artist the day he collapsed on stage in Italy two years later.
The second stage was the place to be that year, with Morphine, Ben Folds Five, Sky Cries Mary (great band!), et all. Good times... |

| Wow, what a great story! I had no idea he was in that bad of health back then. I was looking forward to them coming back to the states to finish there tour. Soul Coughing and Morphine were scheduled to play together at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix- that would have been HOT! But unforunately, never made it back. |

Yeah, he was just walking around in the crowd after BFF's set. I don't any one really knew who he was (this was at the show in Denver).
I always wished that BFF had toured again with the string section. I have never seen a live recording of them circulate , so I'm psyched to check it out. I also remember that Ben beat the SH!T out of his piano, and broken keys were flying off onto the stage! |

Thanks a lot for taping and sharing the snippet.
I've never seen this show taped.
Be well

I recall that I was the only on in the crowd with a full sized mic's and mic stand during the BFF set. Maybe even the LOS set. There may have been someone stealthing but I hadn't seen this show out there either..It was 120 ish degrees that day so not too many fools running from stage to stage around with thier mics still attached to there mic stand, cables dragging behind me :)
However, I did manage to catch the surprise Neil Young acoustic set on the way back, and I'm pretty sure I was the only one who caught that on tape!
Stayed tuned for the NY set in the next few days.
Enjoy the music! |

| Shot in the dark, but does anyone have the very crispy soundboard of Morphine at Peabody's Down Under in Cleveland from circa '94 - '95? Had this on cassette years ago dubbed from a DAT and it was killer! |

| As a matter of fact, jazzoo, I do have the show from 3/8/94. The DAT has been sitting in my closet with about a 100 other DATs that I have no way to transfer. Most of it is Phish, so I've had no reason to care, but I do have the Morphine show, along with five or six KDTU shows I never see circulate. If you are able to do an excellent transfer, please let me know. treytown@yahoo.com |

Hey Terry and Twista!
I'm DAT-less, so unfortunately I can't help with the transfer. I remember it being an awfully sweet recording, though!
We miss you, Mark! |
