-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the original SHN/FLAC filesets. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.

Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.

Huge thanks goes out to the tapers, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those that have helped get the tunes to our ears.

And thanks to the other 5 guys I've dragged into this and who seem committed to the cause: Louie, Mike Tom, Todd & Jeff....we're all listening to these shows and hopefully circulating the best versions.

All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmw

These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwaccess

Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled...maybe forever?)

I've started a thread over here for us to be able to discuss this project:
http://week4paug.net/index.php/topic=1573.0

enjoy the grooves,
Louie, Mike, Tom, Todd, Jeff & dug

***FOR ALL YOUR SETLIST NEEDS***
MMW Performance History @ http://mmwhistory.com - this is a fantastic resource that allows you to look at info on gigs by MMW and related side projects and guest appearances; big thanks to Tom for creating this page.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

We are actively updating all setlists as we seed, and also others outside the particular order of the project.

db.etree is also being updated in tandem with the updates to Tom's pages -- both the source and show pages.

There are 3 shows that never circulated in lossless, but that did make the rounds as MP3s.

So here is the shortlist with links for downloading the MP3s:

Well, if the setlist doesn't speak for itself, then allow me to say a few words ...

First off, some *ridiculous* apologies from Jeff and/or Ryan about having different sources for each set -- they both sound fantastic, so who cares! HA!

Set I opens with a tune we never heard a lot from, the haunting Anonymous Skulls (that's right, haunting!), and that breaks down into a cool little Bass Solo, then the Bass with Billy on Tambourine, then a one minute Tam solo taking us into Think! Nice start to the show! Again, everything rolls along from there nonstop with a visit to what was then a new tune -- Sasa -- on through some killer '04 Improv, then Billy pounds us into a set closing Whiney Bitches -- HOT SET! (But I'm a sucker for this time in the band's playing -- lots of new energy with these EOTWPjic tunes dominating the setlists and also a high dosage of improvisation, often taking place midset which is/was a little odd for MMW who generally favour their Improv up front ...

Set II similarly gives us some then new tunes and some improvisation, along with some older tunes thrown in for good measure -- like the classic Encore, which doesn't disappoint!

I remember when these shows popped up and we had the opportunity to follow along with this new music when we couldn't be there ... and we got that chance so soon after the shows happened ... we're spoiled rotten, thanks to the tapers!
